SHEFFIELD star Chris Holder hopes they can start building up bigger leads earlier on in meetings having had to work extremely hard for two league points at home to Leicester on Thursday.
The Tru7 Group Tigers were held to a 45-45 draw against the play-off chasing Lions before Chris and younger brother Jack combined for a 7-2 in a Super Heat.
No more than six points ever separated the two sides and despite the visitors not securing their first advantage until Heat 12, that was their first of three in the space of the last four races as they forced a last heat decider.
But having initially let fired-up team-mate Josh Pickering go out in Heat 15, Chris Holder then put himself forward for the Super Heat and showed his class and experience to help get the job done behind brother Jack.
“It was a really tough one,” Holder said.
“Again, the track was a bit tricky for us so we weren’t our dominant selves how we have been in the past.
“Hopefully next week we can put a few points on the board earlier on and give us a bit of a buffer because that was real tight.
“Luckily we had the gate choice (in the Super Heat) which was pretty important and we got the job done.”
The Tigers are back at Owlerton next Thursday (August 8, 7.30pm) when they host league leaders Ipswich.
