TIGERS HAVE STARS IN THEIR EYES!

Wednesday August 15, 2007
SHEFFIELD Tigers are looking to keep alive their hopes of reaching the Premier League play-offs when they face the daunting prospect of King's Lynn Stars at Owlerton on Thursday (7.45pm).

Lynn are the current treble champions and the team that denied Tigers glory of their own in a season when they were so near and yet so far away last year.

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed team will need to be in top form to continue their impressive home record - but they are sweating on injuries to Ben Wilson, James Birkinshaw and James Cockle although all three should make it.

The Stars include former Sheffield duo Paul Lee and Trevor Harding and in Czech Republic international Tomas Topinka they have one of the Premier League's top riders.

Sheffield owner Neil Machin said: "This is the big one, we know we cannot afford any slip-ups against a team like King's Lynn because they will punish us.

"It promises to be one heck of a meeting and I would urge all our fans to make as much noise as possible."

ONCE AGAIN ALL CHILDREN AGED 12 AND UNDER WILL BE ADMITTED FREE OF CHARGE - TAPES UP 7.45pm.

TIGERS: Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson, Andre Compton, James Birkinshaw, Joel Parsons, Paul Cooper, James Cockle.
KING'S LYNN: Tomas Topinka, Chris Mills, Daniel Nermark, Paul Lee, Trevor Harding, James Brundle, Benji Compton.
