SHEFFIELD'S Premier League clash with Newport at Owlerton on Thursday (July 26) was washed out at midday after club owner Neil Machin pulled the plug.

A combination of heavy rain and damage from a previous Stock Car event left the track in poor condition and the club were left with no alternative.

No new date has been arranged between the clubs and the Sheffield Window Centre-backed club are next in action next Thursday, August 2, against Stoke at Owlerton.
