ONE of the most popular riders of the modern generation will be welcomed back to Sheffield on Thursday night.
Classy Canadian Kyle Legault is currently on loan to Mildenhall and rides for the West Row side against his parent club in a Premier League clash at 7.45pm.
Legault was only left out of Sheffield's plans for this season because of a reduction in the points limit which meant his average didn't fit under team building restrictions - but Sheffield would like to welcome him back in the future.
Mildenhall have recently axed Czech Republic star Mario Jirout after a poor run of form and vastly experienced former Somerset man Paul Fry has been snapped up to bolster their team. Fry has enjoyed some good scores at Sheffield in recent seasons and, alongside Legault, he will pose a threat.
"We cannot take anything for granted against these guys," said Tigers chief Neil Machin. "They have riders who can get around our track well and from that perspective we need to be hitting the big numbers early on."
Once again all chidren aged 12 and under will be admitted free to tonight's meeting under a scheme which is proving popular in trying to introduce a new generation of fans to the Owlerton terraces.
TIGERS: Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson, Andre Compton, Paul Cooper, Joel Parsons, James Birkinshaw, James Cockle. MILDENHALL: Tom Madsen, Shaun Tacey, Kyle Legault, Jason King, Paul Fry, Mark Thompson, Tomas Suchanek.
