SHEFFIELD aim to take another step closer to securing a top four finish when they head to Ipswich on Thursday (August 27, 7.30pm).
The Tigers sit just three points ahead of fifth placed King’s Lynn in the current standings - but they do have a meeting in hand on the Stars.
They have a home and away double against league leaders Belle Vue on Bank Holiday Monday (August 31) before rounding off their regular fixtures at home to Northampton on Thursday, September 10.
But first it’s the trip to Foxhall where they hold a 12 point lead on aggregate.
It was the venue where they let a 14 point aggregate lead slip last month - but Rising Star Luke Killeen expects a better collective showing this time around, especially as they are forced to run Rider Replacement at No.1 for Jack Holder.
“We don’t go anywhere to come second best,” Killeen said.
“It’s going to be difficult with R/R but we’ll all put our best foot forward and we’ll all be digging deep.
“We’ve got a really good team spirit in the pits and we’re all determined to do our bit on track between now and the end of the season.”
Ipswich bring in former Tiger Lewi Kerr to guest for the injured Scott Nicholls.
