TIGERS V PLYMOUTH - THURSDAY, PREVIEW

Wednesday June 08, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers continue their Premier League schedule at home to league newcomers Plymouth on Thursday (7.45).

And the Sheffield Window Centre-backed side will be without number one man Josh Auty who has been told he should expect to be out for two months with a broken ankle.

Eric Boocock’s side will use the rider replacement facility as cover with the remaining six riders eligible to take his four programmed outings.

Club owner Neil Machin says the Devils, in their first season at this level after promotion from the National League, have riders who go well around Owlerton.

He said: “Ben Barker had a good meeting here in the British semi-final and I’m sure he will be determined to go through the card.

“Mark Simmonds has had good meetings here in the past when he rode for Exeter and Jason Bunyan has actually raced in Sheffield colours as a guest in years gone by.

“So we cannot afford any complacency, we have to treat Plymouth with respect.”

SHEFFIELD: Josh Auty R/R, Emiliano Sanchez, Hugh Skidmore, Ricky Ashworth, Shane Parker, Ashley Birks, Simon Lambert.

PLYMOUTH: Ben Barker, Lee Smart, Jesper Kristiansen, Mark Simmonds, Jason Bunyan, Kyle Hughes, James Cockle.
