SOMERSET V TIGERS - PREVIEW

Monday May 30, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers are on a revenge mission when they travel to Somerset for a Premier League clash on Tuesday (7.30).

Eric Boocock’s men lost 47-43 to the Rebels at Owlerton last month, their only home defeat of the season.

But they are determined to put the record straight in front of the Sky cameras at the Oak Tree Arena.

Club owner Neil Machin said: “It was a setback for us to lose at home to Somerset but they are a tremendous side this season.

“But we are equally capable of going to their track and doing the same to them. We have riders who go well around there and in Shane Parker we have a former Somerset rider.

“We are honoured to be featured live on Sky Sports, British Speedway’s broadcast partner, this is our opportunity to give our club and our sponsors invaluable exposure and the riders will be doing all they can to put on a good show.”

And Tigers duo Auty and Ricky Ashworth will also feature on Sky next Monday, June 6, when they ride in the British Final at Wolverhampton.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Emiliano Sanchez, Josh Auty, Hugh Skidmore, Shane Parker, Simon Lambert, Ashley Birks.
