TIGERS V GLASGOW - THURSDAY, PREVIEW

Wednesday April 27, 2011
FAST and furious Premier League Speedway action continues at Sheffield's Owlerton Stadium on Thursday when Tigers face Glasgow (7.45).

And it will be a big test of character for the Sheffield Window Centre Tigers after their defeat at Ipswich on Good Friday.
Glasgow are unbeaten in three outings so far and will arrive in South Yorkshire in a confident frame of mind.

But Sheffield owner Neil Machin said: "We need a big team effort to get the better of Glasgow who are a fine team this season. We're confident we can do it."

Tigers are unchanged from the side which faced Ipswich twice in two days last week and Glasgow name the same team which won at Newcastle.

That means a rare Owlerton appearance for Chesterfield-born Joe Screen, who moved to Scotland in a high profile switch last season after spending 20-years in the Elite League.

Screen has 21 Grand Prix appearances to his name and will relish his battles with Tigers star Shane Parker.

James Grieves, often the subject of stick from Sheffield fans, has also improved his performances at Owlerton in recent times.

And in Nick Morris Glasgow have one of the brightest 16-year-old prospects in the sport at reserve.

SHEFFIELD: Shane Parker, Emiliano Sanchez, Josh Auty, Hugh Skidmore, Ricky Ashworth, Simon Lambert, Ashley Birks.

GLASGOW: Joe Screen, Theo Pijper, Christian Henry, James Grieves, Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris, Michal Rajkowski.
