FANS SPECIAL OFFER

Wednesday April 20, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers Speedway have agreed to reschedule their trip to Somerset for TV coverage – and they’re making a unique offer to fans.

The Oak Tree Arena clash will now take place on Tuesday, May 31 instead of Friday 20, and all Sheffield fans who have pre-paid for a hotel room that night for the overnight stay to go to Newport the next night will get a refund from the club.

Said Tigers owner Neil Machin: “We realise it may be an inconvenience to some supporters but we took the decision that we have to look at the bigger picture and do all we can to facilitate our broadcast partners.

“We will therefore go to Somerset on May 31 and all those supporters who have already paid for a hotel on the Friday night before Newport can submit their receipt as proof of payment to me at the speedway office and I will happily refund them.

“We never take our wonderful fans for granted here at Sheffield and I hope by doing this it underlines our commitment to customer satisfaction.

“To be featured live on TV is a massive exposure to give our club and our sponsors unbeatable exposure and I also feel it will be a good meeting for our broadcast partner as we are determined to go there and gain some revenge.

“I also want all those fans who were planning to go to the original date of this meeting to go down there and show their Tigers colours in front of the Sky cameras!”

Sheffield face Ipswich at Owlerton tomorrow (Thursday) and a full preview with team news will be issued tonight.
