WILSON MISSES BANDITS TRIP

Saturday April 28, 2007
SHEFFIELD Tigers are without Ben Wilson for their trip to Berwick tonight (7pm).

Wilson is at Eastbourne to defend his British Under-21 Final and his place is taken by guest rider Chris Kerr of Redcar.

Sheffield are looking to build on their 62-31 demolition of the Bandits at Owlerton on Thursday - and they have a reasonable record at the border track.

Club owner Neil Machin said: "For us to get in the top two, which is our target for the play-offs, we have to pick away wins up on the road and with all due respect to Berwick we have to look for a win there.

"Confidence is very high throughout the camp because of the win on Thursday, we asked the boys for a big display and they did it well."

Ben Wilson rides in the British Under-21 Final at Eastbourne tonight and therefore missed the Berwick trip. His place is taken by Redcar's Chris Kerr as a guest - and on his last visit to Berwick he scored 10-points.

Wilson defends his crown against Eastbourne track specialists Lewis Bridger and Edward Kennett who are favourites to win the title - but Wilson has vowed to fight all the way in his final year in the competition.
