TIGERS V SOMERSET - THURSDAY, PREVIEW

Wednesday April 13, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers face up to one of the form teams of the Premier League when Somerset visit Owlerton on Thursday (7.45).

Eric Boocock’s men are at full strength for the clash which is sure to attract a bumper crowd with plenty of exciting racing in prospect.

Said Boocock: “They look a great side Somerset and it goes without saying we’ll need to be on top form against them.

“They’ve got strength in every department and they are going to provide a real test. After beating Ipswich last week the rest of the Premier League have taken note.”

The Rebels include talented young Australians Dakota North and Sam Masters who are both tipped for bright futures in the Elite League and possibly the Grand Prix series.

Cory Gathercole has had some good meetings at Owlerton in the past and German Christian Hefenbrock was linked with a move to Sheffield two years ago.

Tigers will be looking to get back to winning ways after their weekend defeat at Workington.

SHEFFIELD: Shane Parker, Hugh Skidmore, Ricky Ashworth, Emiliano Sanchez, Josh Auty, Ashley Birks, Simon Lambert.

SOMERSET: Travis McGowan, Kyle Hughes, Christian Hefenbrock, Sam Masters, Cory Gathercole, Dakota North, James Holder.
