WORKINGTON V TIGERS - PREVIEW

Friday April 08, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers aim to gain more Premier League points when they head to Workington on Saturday (7pm).

It’s a tough test for the Owlerton side, who have notched seven-points from their opening three meetings.

Workington have revamped their team with impressive winter signings James Wright and Tomas Topinka.

Tigers owner Neil Machin said: “We’ve gained points from all three league meetings so far and we must be looking to keep that going at Workington, but it will be tough.

“Having said that, we look forward to our journey through the Lakes knowing we’re in a good bit of form and the lads are pulling together superbly, there is a great team spirit in the camp.”

Ashley Birks is expected to take his place in the side despite suffering an arm injury in Thursday’s impressive home win over Newport.

Workington are looking to book a guest replacement for injured American Kenny Ingalls.

WORKINGTON: James Wright, Richard Lawson, Tomas Topinka, Rusty Harrison, Peter Kildemand, Charles Wright, Guest TBC.

SHEFFIELD: Shane Parker, Hugh Skidmore, Ricky Ashworth, Emiliano Sanchez, Josh Auty, Simon Lambert, Ashley Birks.
