SIMON Lambert is confident he can play a big part in Sheffield’s quest for honours this season.

Lambert will be going into his first full season with the Tigers after a successful mid-season move from Scunthorpe in 2010 which impressed club bosses enough to sign him up for a full campaign.

He said: “Last season probably ended a bit too early for me because I was just beginning to go well.

“Hopefully we’ll all fire from the start but we do have a good, solid side. There are some strong teams in the league, but I think we’ll be in with a chance.”
