SHEFFIELD Speedway are delighted to welcome Argentinian ace Emiliano Sanchez back to the team for the 2011 Premier League campaign.

Sanchez is a club asset and rode for the club in 2006 when he won the fans’ rider of the year award.

He joins Josh Auty, Hugh Skidmore and Simon Lambert in the starting line-up and the club are expected to confirm the return of Ricky Ashworth in the near future.

Club owner Neil Machin said: “We know all about Emiliano because he’s been here before and he’s also a Sheffield asset.

“When he first rode here he was a bit of an unfancied rider and went on to win everyone over and we’re confident he can do the same again.

“I’m very pleased with the way team building is progressing, I certainly feel things are looking good and we will be a force to be reckoned with next season.”
