SHEFFIELD Tigers have revealed their Premier League Play-off Final home leg will take place on Thursday, October 14.

They will face the winners of the Newcastle v Birmingham tie which has now been brought forward to help avoid a potential fixture jam at the end of the month.

Tigers demolished Premier League champions Edinburgh in one of the most remarkable comebacks in the club's history to reach the final - and they're aiming to go one better by reaching the Elite League race-off with bottom club Ipswich for a place in next year's top flight!

Sheffield co-boss David Hoggart said: "George English at Newcastle and Graham Drury at Birmingham have been terrific, after last Thursday's mauling of league champions, Edinburgh, we all woke up on Friday to the reality that Sheffield could be in the promotion and relegation final against Ipswich.

"As both are Thursday race nights we need to avoid a fixture jam so we are extremely grateful to George and Graham for their co-operation and if we get there we can all look forward to a mega night at Owlerton."
