SHEFFIELD Tigers warmed up for Sunday's Premier League trip to Glasgow with a stunning 55-39 win at Redcar on Friday.

Reserve Simon Lambert gave his best display in Tigers colours with a 13+1-haul in a solid all-round team performance from the Owlerton men.

Richard Hall was top scorer with 14+3 and Ricky Ashworth notched 14 as Tigers turned on the style at the South Tees Motorsport Park.

There was some entertaining racing in what was labelled a 'revenge mission' by the home side and British Under-21 champion Joe Haines was their top man with 15.

Now Tigers head to Glasgow on Sunday looking for a win which would secure their place in the top four and the play-offs.

Glasgow, meanwhile, need a win to cling on to their hopes of qualifying for the Young Shield competition.

Stoke's Ricky Wells rides at reserve for Sheffield as a guest in place of the injured Paul Cooper.

REDCAR: Joe Haines 15, Gary Havelock 10, Aaron Summers 7, Chris Kerr 4+1, Tomas Suchanek 2, Steve Worrall 1, Emiliano Sanchez (R/R).

SHEFFIELD: Richard Hall 14+3, Ricky Ashworth 14, Simon Lambert 13+1, Hugh Skidmore 6+1, Arlo Bugeja 4+1, Josh Auty 4+1, Josef Franc (R/R).
