SHEFFIELD Speedway will take a look at the stars of tomorrow when they host the Top Gun individual event at Owlerton Stadium on Thursday (7.45).

Some of the finest youngsters the sport has to offer will do battle for the prestigious title which is a welcome addition to any CV for a rider.

And the Tigers management have confirmed they will be using the meeting to cast an eye towards next season with a place at the bottom end of their Premier League team potentially up for grabs.

Co-boss David Hoggart said: "We are very much looking forward to this meeting because these lads will give it everything they've got, there is no backing off in these events.

"And if anyone in particular impresses us we might just have to get their telephone number for next season - after asking their parent club, naturally!"

The action starts at 7.45 and there is a meal deal available for fans who will get a voucher which enables them to sample the famous Owlerton carvery for just £5 - from the best seats in the house!
