SHEFFIELD face two vital away meetings in as many days - in a last gasp bid to finish in the top four.

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side go to Newport on Sunday, followed by the short trip to Scunthorpe on Monday.

And star rider Ricky Ashworth said: "We need some points from both meetings to finish in the top four which would be a fine achievement I feel."

Newport have endured a torrid season so far but they have started to see a slight improvement of late.

Tigers once again include Ricky Wells in their line-up as a guest for injured reserve Paul Cooper. Wells did a solid job in the Redcar meeting with five-points. Alex Davies, ironically of Newport, guests in the Scunthorpe meeting.

Newport include former Tigers star Kyle Legault who is rebuilding his career after serious injuries.

And in Craig Watson they have a rider who has been a top Premier League performer for the last 13-years.
