TIGERS V RYE HOUSE - THURSDAY, PREVIEW

Wednesday June 30, 2010
SHEFFIELD Tigers look to continue their impressive run of form when they face Rye House at Owlerton on Thursday (7.45).

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side have won six Premier League meetings in succession and have rocketed up the league table.

They hand a debut to Simon Lambert at reserve and welcome back Ricky Ashworth from injury in what promises to be a tough test.

Club chief Neil Machin said: "Rye House have riders in their team who are more than capable of scoring well around here. It should be a good night of racing."

Rye House have snapped up Sheffield asset Robbie Kessler who starts at reserve and he is sure to be a threat as he can take seven rides. Kessler is an Owlerton track specialist who has never ruled out returning to the club.

And Kevin Doolan, one of the Premier League’s top performers, replaces Linus Sundstrom in the number one position for the Rockets. Doolan has been up there with the leading riders in the averages consistently in recent seasons and steps in as a guest to make Sheffield’s task tough.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Hugh Skidmore, Josef Franc, Richard Hall, Josh Auty, Paul Cooper, Simon Lambert.

RYE HOUSE: Kevin Doolan, Kyle Hughes, Chris Neath, Stefan Ekberg, Jordan Frampton, Lee Strudwick, Robbie Kessler.
