PREMIER LEAGUE PAIRS

SHEFFIELD Tigers have qualified for the prestigious Premier League Pairs competition at Somerset on Friday, July 9.

Club bosses will select two from Ricky Ashworth, Josh Auty and Richard Hall to represent the club in the showpiece event which takes place the night before the British Grand Prix.

Tigers will face Rye House, Edinburgh, Scunthorpe and Glasgow in their group as they look to progress through to the semi-final stages.

Co-boss David Hoggart said: "We are delighted to have qualified but the line-up is very powerful. It will be a very hard meeting but I'm sure it will be entertaining for the fans."

Sheffield face Glasgow at Owlerton Stadium on Thursday as they look to extend their Premier League winning run to six meetings.

GROUP 1: NEWCASTLE: Kenni Larsen, Rene Bach, Mark Lemon. KING'S LYNN: Kevin Doolan, Tomas Topinka, Kozza Smith. BIRMINGHAM: Jason Lyons, Richard Sweetman, Steve Johnston. SOMERSET: Cory Gathercole, Shane Parker, Sam Masters. REDCAR: Gary Havelock, Ben Wilson, Emiliano Sanchez.

GROUP 2: RYE HOUSE: Linus Sundstrom, Jordan Frampton, Stefan Ekberg. EDINBURGH: Ryan Fisher, Kevin Wolbert, Andrew Tully. SCUNTHORPE: Magnus Karlsson, David Howe, Carl Wilkinson. SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Josh Auty, Richard Hall. GLASGOW: Travis McGowan, Josh Grajczonek, Lee Dicken.
