SHEFFIELD hero Ricky Ashworth has revealed how serious he is about tonight's showpiece British Championship meeting at Owlerton (7.45).

Ashworth will use the same engine which took him to victory in last season's Premier League Riders' Championship on his home track.

He's chasing a place in the top eight of the semi-final in a bid to reach the British Final at Wolves on June 14.

He said: "That engine was tuned by former Sheffield rider Peter Carr who was known as the B52 at Owlerton.

"It carried me to victory in the riders' championship and I am confident it will get me through to the British Final."
