ANXIOUS Sheffield fans can breath a sigh of relief with the news that skipper Andre Compton has been released from hospital.

Compton crashed heavily in his opening ride at King's Lynn last night and was taken to hospital for x-rays on a pelvic injury.

He is now back at his West Yorkshire home recovering on crutches with painkillers after receiving the good news that nothing is broken.

It is, however, still too soon to tell how long he is likely to be out of action - but quite clearly not as long as first feared!
