SHEFFIELD skipper Ricky Ashworth believes their Jack Young Shield hopes are hanging in the balance.

Ashworth scored 15 in their 13-point first leg win over Rye House in the quarter-final with the return at Hoddesdon on Saturday.

He said: “It’s a handy lead but we could have done with more. It’s going to be tough going there for the return but we’ll be going for it from the first race.”
