SCUNTHORPE have moved to sign Ritchie Hawkins after his recovery from a broken wrist.

Hawkins sustained the injury when racing for Sheffield, and his replacement at Owlerton Hugh Skidmore has maintained his place.

Adam Allott makes way for Hawkins, and Scorpions boss Rob Godfrey said: "Ritchie has been a seven-point rider, and he is a strong second-string. We had to try to improve our results."
