RICKY Ashworth has revealed how he was open to offers during the winter.

Ashworth, who enjoyed a two-week break in America, looked good in practice at Owlerton last week and is raring to go for the home clash with Wolverhampton this Thursday.

He said: "I did think about leaving Sheffield, my contract was up like everyone else, but when Neil called me I was delighted to accept the two-year deal. I was, however, open to offers!"
