TIGERS V REDCAR PREVIEW

Wednesday April 08, 2009
SHEFFIELD Tigers face a host of familiar faces when Redcar visit Owlerton on Thursday (7.45).

It’s the first of back-to-back Premier Trophy meetings between the teams with the return on Teesside on Friday.

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side are currently top of the table thanks to their stunning win at Newcastle last weekend.

But they’ll be stretched to the limit with no less than for ex-Tigers in the Redcar side – Carl Stonehewer, Robbie Kessler, Ben Wilson and Benji Compton.

"It will be a good measure of our capability. Certainly there will be no room for passengers," said Tigers chief Neil Machin.

Sheffield are unchanged from the side which won at Newcastle with struggling Paul Cooper having spent the week working on his under-power machinery in a bid to get in the points.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Paul Cooper, Ritchie Hawkins, Joel Parsons, Richard Hall, Chris Mills, Josh Auty.
REDCAR: Gary Havelock, Robbie Kessler, Carl Stonehewer, Ben Wilson (pictured), Ty Proctor, Benji Compton, Arlo Bugeja.
