TWO outstanding riders have added their names to the field for the Ben Fund Bonanza at Sheffield on Sunday 29th March.
Meeting organiser Paul Ackroyd said “Simon Stead and Jason Lyons are two riders who will certainly add to the entertainment.”
Stead of course spent four seasons as a home rider at Owlerton, and there have been few riders who have exploited the possibilities of the high-speed circuit better, with his incredibly spectacular style and willingness to race flat out.
Lyons also has a superb recent record at Owlerton with a paid maximum on his last appearance and a PLRC rostrum place previously.
The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund (SRBF) is always looking to increase its funds and Paul Ackroyd wishes to publicly thank Mildenhall supporter Mandy Andersen who raised a three-figure sum by auctioning a Christmas Cake at a supporters’ club event, and the Branney brothers who donated a four figure sum from a fundraising event they staged in Workington.
