MILLS DELIGHTED WITH TIGERS MOVE

Wednesday December 10, 2008
SHEFFIELD Tigers are delighted to confirm the capture of Reading's Chris Mills for next season.

Mills, 25, is set to double-up with Elite League Lakeside and will start the season at reserve for the Sheffield Window Centre-backed side.

And he insists the Owlerton track is to his liking after some notable displays as a visitor, particularly during his time with King's Lynn.

He said: “I’ve beaten Andre Compton and Ricky Ashworth around Sheffield in the past so I know I can do well on the track.

“There was one night when I was there with King’s Lynn when I was the only rider to beat Tai Woffinden as well, so hopefully I can score a lot of points for Sheffield, but I know I have to do it both home and away.

“It’s a good club, very professionally run and I have had long conversations with all the management team there. Neil Machin, Eric Boocock and David Hoggart all seem like top people to me.

“I’ve got no doubt I will settle in quickly and I’m looking forward to it already, I can’t wait for next March to come around and I can get into it!”
