POOLE have snapped up talented Canadian Kyle Legault in a loan deal from Sheffield.

Legault suffered with injuries last season but feels the time is right to take the step into the Elite League.

Pirates chief Matt Ford said: “I’ve watched his progress and when I heard Kyle was keen to step up and ride in the Elite League I immediately looked for a way to bring him to Poole.”

Sheffield Speedway would like to wish Kyle all the best for the 2009 season.
