SHEFFIELD V SCUNTHORPE - MATCH PREVIEW

Tuesday September 16, 2008
SHEFFIELD Tigers aim to boost their chances of a top six finish when they face Scunthorpe in more Premier League action at Owlerton on Thursday (7.45pm).

And they’re looking to complete a clean sweep of wins against their Lincolnshire rivals after enjoying wins against them in the Premier Trophy, Knockout Cup and League.

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side will be unchanged with Ricky Ashworth still missing thanks to his broken wrist. Scunthorpe, meanwhile, will be at full strength.

Sheffield owner Neil Machin said: "When you look at their team they have riders with vast knowledge of our track, including former Sheffield lads Richard Hall, Emiliano Sanchez and Ben Powell.

"Magnus Karlsson (pictured) is rarely out of double figures when he comes here and he'll be looking for a good display ahead of Sunday's Premier League Riders' Championship here when he is Scunthorpe's representative."

TIGERS: Ricky Ashworth R/R, Joel Parsons, Andre Compton, Paul Cooper, Ben Wilson, Kyle Hughes, Lee Smethills.
SCUNTHORPE: Richard Hall, Emiliano Sanchez, Magnus Karlsson, Viktor Bergstrom, Carl Wilkinson, Ben Powell, Byron Bekker.
