SHEFFIELD'S Premier League clash with Scunthorpe has been cancelled due to damage caused by a weekend Stock Car event.

The Owlerton Stadium safety fence, track and kerb have all been damaged and could not be repaired in time for the meeting to take place. The postponement has nothing to do with the weather.

A restaging date has been arranged for Thursday, September 18 at 7.45pm.
