SHEFFIELD will be without Lee Smethills for tonight's Premier League clash with Redcar at Owlerton. (7.45pm).

Smethills suffered a cracked vertebrae in the weekend win at Mildenhall and is now back at his North West home resting.

Redcar include former world champion Gary Havelock after he resolved issues with the club over pay following cost cutting measures.

Tigers co-promoter David Hoggart said: "Redcar always put a good show on around Sheffield and I'm sure this will be no different.

"We're pleased Gary will be riding because he tests our boys to the full and they have also named former Sheffield man Benji Compton at reserve."

The meeting will also have sadness surrounding it following the tragic loss of key club backer and friend Darren Boocock.

Boocock, 41, was killed along with his wife Sharon in a high profile road accident last Friday and a minute's silence will be held before the tapes rise.
