SHEFFIELD have been drawn in the Premier League Pairs competition which is being raced at Somerset later this month.

The Oak Tree Arena will stage the event on Friday, June 27 – the night before the British Grand Prix at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

BSPA Chairman Pete Toogood believes the race for this year’s title is closer than ever.

Toogood said: “It’s going to be a tight call, I just cannot predict a winner with any confidence. I’m sure we will see some spectacular racing.”

GROUP 1: Reading, Rye House, Sheffield, Birmingham, Edinburgh.

GROUP 2: Workington, Newcastle, Somerset, Redcar, Isle of Wight.
