MONDAY PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN V TIGERS

Sunday April 21, 2024
SHEFFIELD will be looking to make it three wins on the spin when they head to King’s Lynn on Monday (April 22, 7.30 pm).

The Tru7 Group Tigers have built momentum recently with a last gasp win at Leicester before thrashing the Stars 58-32 at Owlerton on Thursday.

It was a result which extended their remarkable run against the men from Norfolk which sees them unbeaten in 17 contests in the top-flight.

Last season, the Tigers racked up three huge wins at the Adrian Flux Arena scoring 172 points across their visits - but that history is something that team manager Simon Stead isn’t too bothered about ahead of their latest trip.

“The record is nice and obviously we’re going there to win so it goes without saying that we’d love to carry that on,” he said.

“But I don’t want to read too much into past results from previous seasons because King’s Lynn is notoriously a tough place to go to.

“It’s a track that can be challenging but we’re going there full of confidence after our last few performances so hopefully we can continue to go about our business and carry on our good form.”

Sheffield are at full strength whilst King’s Lynn have booked Richard Lawson and Tom Brennan as guests for Niels-Kristian Iversen and Benjamin Basso who are again ruled out.

KING’S LYNN: Tobiasz Musielak, Tom Brennan, Richard Lawson, Michael Palm Toft, Vadim Tarasenko, Patryk Wojdylo, Anders Rowe.
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Chris Holder, Josh Pickering, Tai Woffinden, Jason Edwards, Dan Gilkes.
