PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v TIGERS

Wednesday September 07, 2022
SHEFFIELD conclude their regular league away fixtures on Thursday when they travel to King’s Lynn (September 8, 7.30).

The Tru Plant Tigers need just two more points to guarantee themselves a place in the end-of-season play-offs - and will be hoping to replicate a similar performance and result to the one they managed on their previous trip to the Adrian Flux Arena.

Sheffield won 49-41 on that occasion, providing nine of the race winners on a night where the top end of the team really came to the party.

And despite losing 54-36 at Belle Vue on Monday, team boss Simon Stead says it’s all about looking ahead.

“When the fixtures are coming as thick and fast as they currently are, you haven’t got time to dwell on the previous meeting,” he said.

“All you can do in the build-up is try and make sure you learn from any negatives and use any positives that you can to your advantage.

“Belle Vue was just one of those nights - but if you look at our overall form of late then that tells you exactly what we’re capable of.

“King’s Lynn aren’t giving up their own play-off dream just yet - but hopefully we can go there and get the job done on Thursday.”

Tobiasz Musielak returns for the Tigers having missed Monday’s meeting at Belle Vue due to his inclusion in the Polish Championships.

KING’S LYNN: Nicolai Klindt, Thomas Jorgensen, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Richard Lawson, Jonas Knudsen, Jack Thomas.

SHEFFIELD: Tobiasz Musielak, Lewis Kerr, Adam Ellis, Kyle Howarth, Jack Holder, Justin Sedgmen, Connor Mountain.

Meanwhile supporters are reminded about the club’s special ‘September Savings’ package which covers the upcoming three home meetings later this months.
