SHEFFIELD Speedway can confirm both Nicki Pedersen and Jack Holder want to return to Owlerton for the 2021 season.

Speculation has been gathering pace about their availability after proposed new rules in Poland preventing riders from having freedom of choice on other leagues they ride in.

But club officials can confirm both high profile riders have told the club they want to be back to make up for losing the 2020 season.

“There is a willingness for both riders to be with Sheffield next year,” said co-promoter Damien Bates. “Next spring is a long way off and there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge before then.

“We are all hoping things fall into place so we can press the reset button back to last March and where we were ready for an exciting new era.”
