SHEFFIELD boss Simon Stead has urged fans who are struggling mentally with the current situation to talk about it.

And he’s asking any Tigers fans, particularly the older generation, who live alone to get involved on social media and interact and talk about the sport and share their memories.

“I know these are tough times but please everyone, do not feel alone because you’re not,” he said.

“Even if you’re self-isolating and in lockdown living on your own – you are not alone.

“Social media and technology means someone is only ever a call or a message away.

“So talk to your family, talk to your friends, get involved with discussions online and don’t be afraid to talk to the various groups and helplines that are out there if you are feeling a bit low.

“Nobody has to suffer in silence so please get online and get talking.”

Sheffield Speedway would like to urge fans to call their friends or simply send a message to check up on them.
