SHEFFIELD racer Jack Holder lost ground on his Aussie Championship rivals as he bowed out at the semi-final stage in Undera on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old sat six points off top spot after the opening round on Monday - with Belle Vue star Jaimon Lidsey top of the pile.
Holder got his night off to the perfect start reeling off back-to-back wins to keep himself in touching distance of the lead.
A further five points from his final two outings booked his place in the semi-final alongside former Poole teammate Brady Kurtz.
However, Holder finished third leaving him 12 points behind eventual round two winner Fricke at the top of the standings.
A stellar performance from reigning champion Max Fricke saw him drop just two points - opening up a six-point lead over Lidsey with two rounds remaining.
