STAR DUO BOLSTER SQUAD

Thursday February 28, 2008
SHEFFIELD Tigers have booked Richard Hall and Tai Woffinden to bolster their team for the trip to Elite League champions Coventry next month.

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side will track their starting 1-7 for the home leg, which is Owlerton's opening night, on March 13 but an agreement between the two clubs means Tigers need to strengthen the following night.

Hall is still a Tigers asset who will ride on loan to Premier League newcomers Scunthorpe this season and Woffinden, the Godson of Tigers owner Neil Machin, is destined for the Elite League with Wolverhampton.

Machin said: "Coventry know what Sheffield's all about, so there will be no track advantage, and our boys will really have to be up for it.

"Richard is a Sheffield asset and Tai's well-known to our supporters and they will slot into the main body of the team, which should make us competitive."

The first chance fans will get to see the 2008 team on track will be next Thursday, March 6, when the club stage a public practice session at Owlerton from 4pm.
