TIGERS AT HOME TONIGHT

Wednesday September 11, 2019
SHEFFIELD stage a rare Wednesday night meeting tonight to round off their Championship home programme (7.30).

It’s an opportunity for those fans who haven’t been able to attend Sunday racing this year to see their team in action.

American ace Broc Nicol is hoping to round off the Owlerton season on a high against Newcastle, who have struggled on the road.

He said: “It’s great to be back from injury and I was pleased to get a good score at Eastbourne in my first meeting back.

“I’ve really enjoyed it at Sheffield so I’m looking forward to getting back there for my first meeting there in over two months.

“It will be good to see all the fans again and I hope we get a good crowd for our final home league meeting.”

Aussie ace Jake Allen replaces the injured Kyle Howarth who is still recovering from shoulder damage.

Meanwhile Saturday’s trip to Glasgow is now part of a double header with Berwick and Sheffield are first on at 6.30.
