TIGERS READY FOR SOMERSET CLASH

Tuesday August 20, 2019
SHEFFIELD chief Damien Bates insists his side have got what it takes to win at Somerset on Wednesday (7.30).

Tigers are still awaiting their first triumph on their travels after some troublesome times on the road so far.

But the Owlerton outfit are full of confidence after a convincing 53-37 home win over high flying Glasgow on Sunday and head to the OakTree Arena in high spirits.

The two sides have already clashed in one feisty encounter this term and Bates says he'd love to see his side get one over the Rebels again on a big night for their play-off hopes.

"I firmly believe we can beat them on Wednesday and I really, really hope we do," Bates said.

"They've had both good and bad meetings since making their team changes and results show their new line-up isn't unstoppable.

"Some of our boys ride their track really well, Todd (Kurtz) is fired up to go back there and get another good score after they got rid of him and I think we can get a result there."

British Under-19 Champion Drew Kemp reverts to a more suited reserve role with Josh MacDonald elevated into the main body of the team.

SOMERSET: Nick Morris, Anders Rowe, Rory Schlein, Nico Covatti, Chris Harris, Luke Harris, Nathan Stoneman.
SHEFFIELD: Danny King, Josh MacDonald, Todd Kurtz, Justin Sedgmen, Kyle Howarth, Zaine Kennedy, Drew Kemp.
