RICKY Ashworth has gone stateside in his preparation for the new Premier League speedway season with Sheffield.

The popular Mancunian is riding in a series of indoor ice meetings alongside Tigers team-mate Paul Cooper.

He said: “It’s brilliant out here, I’m really pleased I decided to come and do it because it’s good timing ahead of the new season. I’m really up for it with Sheffield.”
