WEEKEND PREVIEW

Friday May 17, 2019
SHEFFIELD are gearing up for a weekend league double against Berwick.

Tigers head to Shielfield Park on Saturday (7pm) before hosting the Bandits at Owlerton on Sunday (4pm, Gates 2.30).

Sheffield bosses have demanded an upturn in form following three wins out of nine in all competitions - but with only two league fixtures under their belt, they recognise the main part of their campaign is still ahead of them.

Teenage sensation Drew Kemp has already impressed the Owlerton faithful - and wants to play his part this weekend.
“Results haven’t gone our way overall yet but we’re confident they’re going to come soon,” Kemp said.
“We know Berwick are very strong at home, and they might even push us in our home meeting.
“But there’s still more to come from us as a team and we just all need to fire at the same time.
“We know we’re capable of a lot more and I’m confident that things are going to start getting better soon.
“I know what sort of set-up I want to run at Berwick and having the British Under-21s there a few weeks ago will hopefully benefit me.
“I might even be able to help some of my team-mates even though I’m the youngest in terms of passing on a bit of my knowledge from there but we’re all looking forward to the two meetings.”

BERWICK: Aaron Summers, Kevin Doolan, Dany Gappmaier, Jye Etheridge, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, Coty Garcia, Leon Flint.
SHEFFIELD: Danny King, Kasper Andersen, Ty Proctor, Drew Kemp, Kyle Howarth, Broc Nicol, Zaine Kennedy.
