BIG WEEKEND FOR TIGERS

Thursday April 18, 2019
SHEFFIELD are preparing for a make or break weekend in their quest for Championship Shield qualification.

Tigers face three meetings in as many days - starting with a trip to rivals Scunthorpe on Friday (5.30).

That’s ahead of a visit to current Northern Group leaders Leicester on Saturday (7.30) before they host the Lions at Owlerton on Sunday (4pm).

Tigers team boss Simon Stead said: “Each of the three meetings will provide our lads with a different sort of challenge.

“We know we’re going to need all the lads on it if we’re to progress in the competition but they’ve already shown glimpses as a group of what they can achieve when they’re all firing.

“The rivalry with Scunthorpe is one we always relish and it’s always an entertaining contest.

“They’ll be up for it as well but we’re going there for the win of course.”

SCUNTHORPE: Josh Auty, Danny Ayres, Jason Garrity, Stefan Nielsen, Jake Allen, Ryan Kinsley, Josh Bailey.

SHEFFIELD: Danny King, Drew Kemp, Kasper Andersen, Ty Proctor, Kyle Howarth, Broc Nicol, Zaine Kennedy.
