THREE MORE ADDED FOR OPENER

Monday February 25, 2019
SHEFFIELD have added three more names to their 90th Anniversary line-up.

Great Britain international Steve Worrall, young British talent Kyle Bickley and former Tiger Simon Lambert have been confirmed for the special meeting at Owlerton Stadium on Sunday, March 24 (4pm).

They join all seven Sheffield riders as well as 2017 Tigers’ title winner Josh Grajczonek.

Co-promoter Damien Bates said: “We’re delighted that both Stevie and Kyle have accepted our invitation and they’ve made the line-up even more competitive than it already was.

“Steve’s career has come on leaps and bounds in recent years; he was brilliant for Great Britain in the World Cup a couple of seasons ago and did remarkably well to come back the way he did from a broken leg last season.

“Kyle is a former British Youth Champion with a lot of potential and he demonstrated that at times when he won the treble with Workington last season.

“Both have Belle Vue connections as well and it would be great to see some of their supporters make the trip from Manchester.

"Simon Lambert has ridden for Sheffield previously and we wanted to give him some bike time as he currently finds himself without a team spot following the withdrawal of Workington from the Championship."

LINE-UP SO FAR: Kasper Andersen, Kyle Bickley, Josh Grajczonek, Kyle Howarth, Drew Kemp, Zaine Kennedy, Danny King, Simon Lambert, Broc Nicol, Ty Proctor, Steve Worrall.
