SHEFFIELD stage their final home league fixture of the season on Thursday when Edinburgh visit Owlerton (7.30).
And after eight defeats on the spin, Tigers are determined to go out on more of a positive note in front of their own supporters.
Captain Kyle Howarth said: “We’re all disappointed with how this season has turned out and we’re just as frustrated as the supporters.
“But we’re finishing the season with a good group of boys and if we can all fire on the same night then there’s no reason why we can’t find another win.
“We really want to finish our home meetings on some sort of high by rounding off with a win and hopefully that would be a small consolation for those supporters who have stuck by us over these past few weeks which have been tough for us all.”
Club bosses have confirmed they have already agreed terms with an ‘exciting talent’ to launch their team building for 2019 – even though the team building restrictions have not yet been put in place.
And he will be unveiled in front of supporters on Thursday.
