BROC CAN’T WAIT FOR FOURS

Saturday June 30, 2018
RECENT Sheffield signing Broc Nicol says he can’t wait for his first taste of Major Event action in Sunday’s Championship Fours at Redcar (2pm).

The American newcomer, who replaces injured skipper Kyle Howarth, lines-up alongside Lasse Bjerre and Todd Kurtz while a late decision will be made on Charles Wright following his crash at Owlerton on Thursday.

It promises to be a bumper feast of action at the Media Prima Arena with 34 heats of speedway.

All 11 Championship sides contest the 22 semi-final races with the top four points scorers then progressing to the 12 heat final.

And after hearing all about Britain’s Major Event Series, Nicol is excited to be involved so early on in his UK career.

“I’m stoked they asked me to be honest,” he said.

“It’s going to be another new track for me to visit and it will be another good experience and opportunity to get some more laps under my belt.

“I’m really happy with how I’m settling into my racing in the UK right now and it would be nice if I could help the team get to the Final or something on Sunday.”

Gates open at Midday with start time at 2pm. Admission is £20 adults, £15 concessions, £5 children with Under-5’s being admitted free of charge.
