TITLE HERO ADDED TO STEAD FAREWELL

Saturday March 24, 2018
JOSH Grajczonek, who played a key part in Sheffield’s Championship glory last season, will return to Owlerton for Simon Stead’s Farewell on Sunday (4pm).

Grajczonek has left Tigers and has linked up with Premiership Poole as well as filling his diary with continental fixtures.

But he’s agreed to ride for Stead alongside Owlerton specialist Brady Kurtz and Danish ace Kenneth Bjerre, brother of Sheffield’s Lasse.

The trio have stepped up to the plate after Chris Holder and Chris Harris were forced to withdraw for personal reasons and Jacob Thorssell is in Poland for a delayed Pairs meeting.

Stead said: “Josh was magnificent for us last season and I’m pleased he’s been able to arrange it so he comes along and rides in my meeting.

“Brady loves Owlerton, he’s really quick around the place, and Kenneth Bjerre is a world class rider. I thank all three for agreeing to come along and race.

“In the meantime I’d like to wish Chris Holder and Chris Harris all the very best and look forward to seeing them back on a bike very soon.”
