SIMON Stead has worked with Sheffield City Council to secure extra parking for his farewell meeting at Owlerton this Sunday (4pm).

A bumper crowd is expected for the event with World Champions, Grand Prix and World Cup stars and members of the current Tigers side turning out to race.

The Owlerton car park is expected to fill up early and Stead has confirmed extra space will be available at Hillsborough Park, Parkside Road S6 2AB - a short walk from the track.

Stead said: "I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to Sheffield City Council for their help and support.

"Once the stadium car park fills up the opportunity is still there for people to park down the road which is excellent."
