SHEFFIELD Tigers have been handed a big boost with the continued backing of Sheffield Window Centre.

And that means the partnership will continue for the 11th season at Owlerton as Tigers look to defend their Championship crown.

Sheffield co-promoter Peter Mole said: “We are particularly pleased to be able to announce we will be entering into the 2018 season once again with Sheffield Window Centre as our main team backers.

“It is becoming increasingly difficult in this day and age to secure such team backing, and our sincere thanks go to both Ian Hunter and also his sons Ian and Joe for their continued support.

“We are extremely busy behind the scenes at the moment both promoting Sheffield Speedway locally amongst schools, scout groups, etc, and also actively increasing the sponsorship and corporate hospitality side of our business.

“To this end we have taken on Elle Fairbanks as commercial manager, as we want Sheffield Speedway to be a long term sustainable business.
“It’d so pleasing that we start the defence of our league title in 2018 with the continued support of our good friends from Sheffield Window Centre, which we have always appreciated and valued.”

Sheffield Window Centre’s Ian Hunter said: “We feel very proud to be main team sponsors at Sheffield.

“The facilities at Owlerton are second to none and I am no less pleased now than I was in our first season together.

“Everyone at Sheffield Window Centre wishes the club well for 2018 and we would urge the people of Sheffield and surrounding areas to come along and get behind the team.”
